Every week, depending on class time, the BCD welcomes kindergarten and elementary school pupils (from TPS to CM2). The BCD sessions are devoted to discovering children's literature, the book as an object, and how to tidy up and find their way around the library. A range of activities are on offer: storytelling, book-related games, various projects, media and information literacy, etc.

EFAD's BCD provides users with over 6,000 documents in French, English and Spanish, divided between the kindergarten and elementary school libraries.

The primary BCD offers a permanent service at check-out time so that pupils can change books.

LENDING DOCUMENTS

Pupils and staff can borrow all BCD documents (albums, comics, stories, documentaries, novels, poetry, theater, magazines) with the exception of dictionaries, encyclopedias and certain specialized works.

The number of loans is limited to 1 for a period of 7 days. It is always possible to extend a loan.
Specimen textbooks in various disciplines are available in the BCD for teachers, as well as educational manuals.

Any lost document will have to be replaced by another one according to the following criteria:

  1. Identical document

  2. Document of the same genre and theme

  3. Document by the same author
