Noche de la Lectura 2026 at EFAD: A Magical Evening Between City and Countryside
EFAD—

La Noche de la Lectura 2026 took place this Thursday and was, once again, a wonderful evening for our community. Despite the threat of rain, young and old alike gathered joyfully to celebrate reading, sharing, and beautiful stories.
This year, the event had a rich and inspiring theme: “Cities and Countryside.”
In preschool (Covarrubias 46): wonder and excitement
At Covarrubias 46, the preschoolers enjoyed a beautiful and captivating performance by the Ohtli theater company, based on the picture book *Once Upon a Time, There Was a Cage*. It was a truly magical moment for our youngest readers!
At Veramendi 32: The Joy of Shared Stories
On Veramendi 32, elementary and middle school students were able to attend the traditional readings. This year, the number of volunteer readers literally skyrocketed—and we’re thrilled!
In addition to the warm presence of parents and grandparents, teachers and alumni from EFAD also participated, joining in the fun to share their passion for books with the youngest children.
Activities for Everyone
The evening also featured a variety of fun and artistic workshops:
- Exciting games of Dixit;
- A big drawing contest inspired by this year's theme;
- A variety of creative games that sparked everyone's imagination.
To cap off this celebration, the evening culminated with the always captivating performance by Norma Torres, a storyteller who has become an indispensable tradition of our Night of Reading.

A big thank you to the APIS organizing committee and to the families who contributed greatly to making this evening a complete success. We must also highlight the commitment of the EFAD teaching and administrative staff: everyone’s dedication makes all the difference.
Thank you all for your enthusiasm, and see you next year for another edition!
